First Nation – Biomass Power/Wood Pellet

Sixth Element had been requested to conduct a forestry-bioeconomy study on a biomass power (bioenergy CHP) facility, a wood pellet mill, wood merchandizing yard, and an industrial park for a First Nation community in Northern Ontario.  The forestry-bioeconomy project included a consolidated pro forma design and business plan, which followed the template from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) for Forest Resource Processing Facility Licensing.

Sixth Element is a “boutique” consulting firm specializing in concept planning, start-ups, and early-stage companies in the bioeconomy that do not have the senior management depth or experience. We provide C-level consulting services for inventorsentrepreneurs, investors, and public sector agencies. Sixth Element helps create small businesses. Consulting services include pro forma design and analysis, feasibility studies and business plans, technology/venture vetting and audits (see Projects for recent studies).  Our focus sectors are emerging biofuels and Indigenous bioeconomy ventures in the forestry sector, including lumber, logging and bioenergy. Sixth Element works with its clients to prepare for the investment community.
