Big decisions are being made in Ottawa today by a relatively small group of people that will affect the future of energy in Canada. The group of stakeholders has come together at the behest of Environment and Climate Change Canada to shape regulations for the Clean Fuel Standard, with grand ambitions to achieve 30 megatons of annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions by 2030…by Ron Kotrba.
Despite aggressive adoption of renewable energy by a number of industrialized countries, roughly 80% of the world’s energy for heating, power and transportation still comes from fossil fuels: oil, natural gas and coal. March 20, 2018 – In February the federal government announced a new program that will fund renewable energy projects in diesel-reliant communities.
