OTTAWA, April 30, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Canada’s two largest biofuels stakeholders – Renewable Industries Canada (RICanada) and Advanced Biofuels Canada (ABFC), together representing almost 50 member companies – today released the results of a new study on the economic impact of Canada’s upcoming Clean Fuel Standard (CFS)… by Renewables Industry Canada.
Ontario is helping people in northern, rural and Indigenous communities save on energy costs, fight climate change and improve air quality by reducing the use of greenhouse gas-intensive fuel sources and old, inefficient wood stoves. Proceeds from the province’s carbon market will fund four new wood heat pilot programs. The programs will operate in communities without access to natural gas that rely on a mix of wood, propane, fuel oil and diesel-generated electricity to heat homes and other buildings… by ahnationtalk.
Ontario is partnering with Comet Biorefining, to create a new production plant in Sarnia for high-quality, sustainable ingredients that will help to directly create 82 new jobs and 158 new indirect jobs, including those in harvesting, construction, farming and manufacturing... by Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs.
